2022 Uganda Empowerment Plan
Education → 500 Students
Focus: Resuming in-person classes at His Mercy School, assessing academic and social gaps in education from school closure during the pandemic, and rebuilding enrollment through awareness.
Entrepreneurship → 55 Families
Focus: Maximizing program quality and long-term sustainable impact.
Restorative Care → 200 Families
Focus: Serving families in the community in response to COVID-19 and economic challenges. Tackling issues of justice through family visitation and outreach, community teen mentorship, emergency food support, and vaccine awareness/education.
Local Leadership
Edward Magumba
Pastor Edward lives in Buwenda Village with his wife and 3 sons. Edward has planted 2 churches and oversees His Mercy Christian School which serves over 400 vulnerable children. He has also initiated empowerment projects that have uplifted and improved the lives of widows and other vulnerable groups of people. Edward is passionate about education and the future of his country. We are currently partnering with Edward to empower families through the Family Business Program, empower and resource the teachers of His Mercy School, help hundreds of children receive a high-quality education, and other restorative community care initiatives.
