The Story
How Empowerment through Business Changes Lives:
Take a moment to put yourself in the shoes of someone surviving in extreme poverty. You’re making less than $2.15 US per day and trying to support yourself and your family. Maybe you have to make difficult decisions about who gets to eat which meal each day, or perhaps you’re overwhelmed by the hand you’ve been dealt.
You know you’re smart. You know you’re capable, but you don’t have the capital to launch your business the way you know you need to.
This is where Tseganesh found herself just a few years ago. When she had the opportunity to go through our Family Business Program, she knew she could take her business to the next level, and she did.
Post empowerment, she has hired employees and started a second business. She is feeding her children every day and sending them to school. And, she is dreaming of future growth and possibilities for the first time in her life.
