Haiti has struggled for progress for many years. So much so that it is easy to become desensitized to the challenges that are actually going on. In the midst of chaotic circumstances, there are also thriving communities that continue to persist and invest in empowering families.

We are actively following the crisis in Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince and the surrounding regions. Please stay up to date by viewing the updates on our communities below, and by following along on our Instagram.

Updates on Our Partner Communities (March 2025)

Ferrier

Ferrier has remained physically unaffected by the crisis, but has felt the pinch of a lack of access to food and resources, as well as rising costs for goods.

Drouin

Gangs have controlled much of the Artibonite region, where Drouin is located. The school has been able to remain open, but many families have been forced to flee and access to resources remains limited.

Kenscoff

Gangs have recently pushed into the Kenscoff region, where our Guibert and Marrothierre schools are located. The schools are open and safe for the moment, but access to resources may be threatened.

ACLAPROTECH

Gangs have recently taken over much of the Delmas 30 neighborhood, adjacent to our partner church and school. The church is acting as a safe-haven and we are working together to get food resources to families who have had to flee their homes.

Yahve Shamma

We are in touch with all of the children in our transition program, and we are ensuring they continue to have access to the resources they need.

How You Can Help

Give A One-Time Gift

$500 covers the cost of one student’s education for the entire school year. This includes school fees, nutritious meals, uniforms, books, supplies, and a salary for one teacher.

Support a Specific Child

All of the children at Ferrier Village require 24/7 care in addition to schooling. Each child requires 7 sponsorships to be fully covered financially. You can be one of these sponsors by donating monthly.
