Another Haiti trip is upon us. I’ll be taking a two teams arriving in Haiti on Friday August 12th, and returning on Friday the 19th. Millwood Baptist Church from Austin, TX and NewSong Church from Irvine, CA, along with my good friend Dr. Adam Maass and his daughter from NW Arkansas!
We’ll host medical clinics for four days, and build a home for a family that lost their’s in the earthquake. And it looks as if we’ll launch another water-project to help bring clean water to a community that desperately lacks access to this basic need.
Each team member raised extra funds to invest in these projects. Each home built and well dug means jobs were created, as dozens of skilled Haitian workers will do 95% of the work. We buy everything in Haiti for Haiti in order to support the local economy.
We’re doing everything we can to “help” and not “hurt” as we seek to do good and serve the Haitian people!
We also have what we call learning journeys. These are moments in our trip when we ask local Haitian leaders or experienced NGO/Mission workers such as Troy to share with our team about extreme poverty, the orphan crisis, trafficking and how we can best help solve these problems as we partner and collaborate with one another!
Here’s how you can follow our journey:
