Friends, we need some prayer. One of our partner churches (Remedy Church) donated funds to build a well in Haiti with one of our strategic parterns, Jean Alix Paul. Jean Alix Paul’s community is high-up in the mountains.
It’s almost impossible to get major drilling equipment into the area…and if we did, the cost would be much higher. So we’re actually doing a hand-dug well. A person literally goes down the hole and digs using various tools. So far, they’ve dug 70 feet…and they need to go another 100 feet or so.
They’ve done this before, in this community and on this mountain, and they have wells that work. But, so far on this well they’ve hit massive rock around 60 feet. For months they could not break through the rock, but recently they’ve made some key progress. They’re tired, they need water for the community and they don’t want to stop until this well is done! Jean Alix asked us to pray. Therefore, I’m asking the H.E.L.P. tribe to pray that God will supernaturally help them find water.
Here’s what I want to do: If you will pray, please leave a quick comment on this blog. I’m going to send this link to Jean Alix and his community so they will know that we are praying for them!
Here’s the GPS coordinates if you wanna go to Google Earth and see the terrain: N18 27.362, W072 16.570
Thanks for praying and investing in serving the global poor.
praying right now, that God would give them perseverance to finish the well, and no more rock walls!
Praying now. May God give them the strength to continue; grace and mercy in their work; and that they would hit water.
Praying for Jean Alix and the community. Lord, give them strength that can only come from You. Help them find water. Provide, Father, please provide. May You be glorified in this situation…
Father, we come to you on behalf of Jean Alix and his community. We ask for your supernatural help in completing this well. We lift up our brothers and sisters in Haiti and ask that you strengthen them physically for the task at hand and emotionally so that they will not be discouraged. In Your Holy Name, amen.
Praying right now; that the Lord will bring the community together as they dig this well and we will rejoice and celebrate in His name when we all drink from this big hole.
May our Haitian friends (who are bravely being lowered into the earth) be encouraged by the God who rescues, redeems, and restores… May the rock that is impeding our progress give way to a spring of cool, clean water… May our prayers be effective as we surrender our hopes to the God of Hope.
praying for you all right now. we are with you friends. God is with you.
Praying!!!
Praying to The Rock to breakthrough for you all to fresh, clean water! We are adding our faith to yours! Be strong & take courage! Thank you for serving in Christ’s name.
we are praying for rocks to be moved!
Praying!
Ryan Weaver said it so beautifully. I will pray the same thing.
God, who provided water for his people Israel out of a rock, is capable of providing his people in Kenscoff water from beyond a rock. May we be reminded through this that it is God who is our Rock.
Praying for these people – praying for the spirit of encouragement and strength! Joy and hope in the face of discouragement.
I’ve seen this well. It’s scary deep and dark just 10 feet down. It is an amazing mix of need, courage, determination and faith that send these men down that hole. All to provide access to life giving clean water. Amazing.
God, may you grant them fruit in their pursuit. And may we pursue Living Water with the same need, courage, faith and determination.
I am praying the fervant, effective prayer of faith that the rock will be moved soon and they will find abundant, clean, water. I thank you LORD for your provision for these people. Amen!
