About Help One Now Trips

All Help One Now Trips are built to connect our partners and donors to the communities we serve through the building of relationships with local leaders, witnessing what God is doing in our partner communities, experiencing the beauty each country holds, and participating in intentional guided times of prayer and reflection. We want you to return home from these trips with a renewed heart, mind, and soul, as well as a vision and passion for how we can work together to build the Kingdom!

This trip will be packed full of amazing experiences! We have carefully planned the trip to make the most of your time while also building in time for rest and reflection. Your trip will be focused on building relationships with our local partners and witnessing the impact of their work first-hand. It will also include time to see and experience some of the incredible beauty, history, and culture of the Dominican Republic.

Sunday 3/22

Fly to Santiago, Dominican Republic

Travel to La Vega via van, settle into the guesthouse

Meet local leader Rod Davis and his team – take time to hear their story and vision for ministry

Dinner and intro to trip meeting at guesthouse. This will be a time of getting to know Help One Now and laying out expectations for the week and how we can make the most of our time together

Monday 3/23

Breakfast and a guided devotional time

Tour Help One Now’s partner school, medical clinics, and water treatment facility and hear about how the ministry is empowering the community

Lunch at a local church family’s home

Meet a family in the Family Business Program and see their business

Dinner at the guesthouse

Tuesday 3/24

Breakfast and a guided devotional time

Travel to Neyba via van (~5 hours)

Lunch stop on the way

Afternoon with the TEARS high school missions trip team

Dinner at the hotel

Wednesday 3/25

Full day of VBS/missions trip activities with the TEARS high school team

Time to meet community leaders in Neyba and visit families recently empowered through the Family Business Program

Thursday 3/26

Morning to wrap up VBS activities

Lunch together with the TEARS high school team

Travel to Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic

Free time at the beach

Stay at a beautiful Caribbean beach resort

Friday 3/27

Travel home

$2,300 Per Person

Below is a rough breakdown of all trip costs. Some costs, such as flights, are subject to change at the time of booking. The total cost of your trip covers all traveling expenses including flights, lodging, meals, transportation, and medical insurance. The only things not covered in this cost are personal money for things like souvenirs or any extra needs while on the trip.

This cost also covers Help One Now’s expenses in administering and leading this trip, as well as investing in the work of our local partners as they take time out to host and care for us on our journey!
