There’s an estimated 1.5 million people living in tents in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The photo above is of a single-family home being built in Kenscoff, a mountain town just outside of Port-au-Prince. With Hurricane Tomas around the corner, it’s an important reminder that we need to help these communities move out of tents and into more stable, safe housing.
