South Africa Advocacy Trip

South Africa Advocacy Trip With Crystal Paine

An opportunity for you to become a life-changing advocate awaits! Led by Crystal Paine and the Help One Now team, this Advocacy Trip is for individuals who want to invest deeper into the amazing work of the Reagoboka and Maubane Community Centres outside of Pretoria, South Africa. You will meet our local leaders, see their hard work firsthand, and truly discover what it means to partner with them to help bring change to their communities. Not to mention, you will get to experience the beautiful country of South Africa! This is not a traditional short-term mission trip; it is the beginning of a long-term relationship. You’ll return with the passion to help shape the future of these communities and move the mission forward! The cost of the trip is $2600 per person. This covers flights from your chosen airport to South Africa, lodging, food, transportation, cancellation and travel insurance, and admin fees. Help One Now will handle the logistics from purchasing your flights to managing your day-to-day movements on the ground while you’re in South Africa.

*Must be 21 years or older to apply.

What Will We Do?

On this trip, you’ll get the opportunity to experience firsthand the difference that Help One Now and Take Action is making in some of the poorest communities in South Africa. You’ll be spending time with the leaders and caregivers who are working at both the Maubane Rivoningo Transformation Centre and Reagoboka Drop-in Centre. You’ll be able to see the work in person, meet the hundreds of children who are part of these Centres, learn more about the impact of the Centres on the local communities, and get to interact with, play with, and love on these children. Also, you’ll have opportunities to get to know the Take Action team better, hear more about the work they are doing, learn about their struggles and triumphs, make some fun new memories together, and just come alongside and encourage them in the work they are doing. It will be an unforgettable experience and you’ll likely come home completely in love with South Africa, just like Crystal did after her first visit!

A small reminder… Please remember that international trips of this nature may require extended periods of physical exertion in harsh climates, require proof of needed immunizations, valid passports (at least 6 months from expiring), release of liability, and costs may not be refundable in the event you are unable to attend after paying for your trip. You will be uncomfortable, physically stressed, and subjected to some difficult conditions. However, we promise that you will see the church and its people in ways you never thought possible.  We invite you to submit your application to join us in this work focused on partnering, pioneering, and funding sustainable solutions to systemic social issues in South Africa.
