In leading up to Mother’s Day, Help One Now wants to celebrate a few of the incredible women from our communities. They work tirelessly to care for orphaned and vulnerable children, doing everything from providing meals to helping them get an education. They are mothers in the best sense of the word.  Today, let’s spend some time with Rosena Joseph in Ferrier, Haiti.

Rosena Joseph is truly an inspirational figure. After losing her parents as a young child, she grew up in a girl’s home. However, that did not stop her from graduating from college and becoming a nurse. Now, she is the director of Ferrier Village, Help One Now’s anti-trafficking initiative located in northeastern Haiti, along the Dominican border. Under her leadership, Ferrier Village provides full-time care to 35 double orphans (children who have lost both parents). These children were either rescued from trafficking, or from a situation where they were very vulnerable. Rosena was once an orphan, but she is now a wife, a leader, and has over 35 children in her care.

This Mother’s Day, will you consider supporting Rosena and Ferrier Village by sponsoring a child? Your generosity will help Rosena and her team continue to provide food, clothing, education, shelter, and love to the children in Ferrier Village, as well as helping to prepare a place for additional children in the future.
